The top speed in pedal assist mode is up to 27 mph but we can also govern the speed if you want. However for 0--22 mph it is faster than any other mass production e-bike in the USA. For city riding weaving in and out of traffic with stop and go conditions or riding up very steep hills (12--16 degree hills) This is the best Bike !
Vortex Mountain Bike has heavy duty front shocks & front and back disc brakes for rough terrain. The acceleration is not as fast as Big 50 BUT, Vortex top speed is 32 mph in pedal assist mode. For people who ride on Rough roads or trails The Vortex is much more durable with extra wide KENDA super tires. The VORTEX will not climb STEEP hills (14--20 degrees) as fast as BIG 50 MILE ! But, it will still climb them at a slower speed. ALSO, the feeling of pedaling the VORTEX at above 25 mph is much smoother and easier than the BIG 50 mile bike.
